Homer the pigeon went back to his owner today. He was dying to fly so we decided to drive him down and drop him off. Had he gone to the loft he was suppose to go to he would have won a decent prize and if he had come in first. I could not believe what the prize would have been. A whopping $45,000.00 canadian! This race cost $1,200.00 to enter a team (minimum of five birds). You take your team over to where a guy will feed them and train them to be release and to come back to his loft. The thing is you'll never know if he really entered your birds or not. He could turn around and say he did and then kill them and say they got lost. There's suppose to be tracking devices put on these birds but not every race does it. What a gamble. It must be nice to have money to just throw away. He said Mike Tyson has carrying pigeons as well and does the same thing. Didn't know there was money in this but like the old saying you have to spend money to make money I guess.

On Monday morning we had a pigeon confronted by our rotti. He didn't hurt it. Noticed there were bands on its legs so we looked up the number on a racing pigeon site and there it was. The owners number and where it was from and where it was going. With in twenty-four hours this little belgium bloodline worth about one thousand dollars was on a race going home. It had already done a six hour car drive from Northbay to Bradford.
Man, these birds sure can go fast and find their way home. It's pretty neat. I went out and got food for it and water and it is in my house fast asleep. The thing was so tired it couldn't fly anymore. The owner was really appreciative and wanted to pay us but we said no. He said I was a real caring person and would be by to pick it up Sat. He's bringing his elleven year old son who has a mild form of autisim. (Asperger syndrome) He said in all his years of pigeon raceing he's lost afew birds. People will keep them and breed them. He has one racing pigeon that he paid fifteen hundred dollars for. This is an expensive hobby! Can't figure out why you would pay that for a bird just to let it fly away.
You don't know how good that felt for a stranger to say those words. After I got off the phone I said to myself hey wait a minute, we just got the boot out of a religion and lied about. How can I be a good person? It was a really weird moment for one second and then I said you bet I am!!!!!!

3rdgen, I will get her to pm you. She is coming up tomorrow to visit me and will see if she will talk to you. Her live-ins family have told her they consider her family no matter what but she has said to them that it's still not the same. She has no use for how she was raised by her parents and I feel this is why she is willing to take whom ever that will give her just a little attention.
Her live in has three teenagers, one which has severe autisim and if I know April, just watching how her live- in fathers his kids is what attracted her in the first place to him. Not realiseing that she could never have that kind of protective care and love from him like she should have had and still hasn't experienced in life.
It's just a vicous cycle that has to be ended. She saw her mom allow it as well as her grandmother(my mother) allow it as well.

Both of them extremely selfish and now they are both in this religion acting like the holies of holies forgetting about their three little lives they messed up.
This niece of mine has not seen her parents since she's been df'd and now she is thirty-six living commonlaw with a cop who does everything with his kids and seperated wife but nothing with her. (He even goes on trips with his seperated wife and kids for a week here and there but leaves my niece back at home) She is hungering for a family she either can't have or doesn't have.
She has a big heart and works with autistic children. I told her I was going to put her story on here and to see what you folks think. Why am I doing it here? She told me she was going back to the troof so she could see her two sisters and her niece and nephew that she's never met yet. One is ten and the other is eight.
I'm lost for words especially when she knows now what we've been through coming out of this cult as well as my friend who hung herself last month.(My friend was studied with for two years and when she wouldn't committ and was still living an immoral lifestyle, the sister,elders wife, who was studying with her told her she was not welcomed at the hall or at the congregation picnic) Right after this she took her life. My niece also knows that her grandmother(my mother) had taken her life as well. This young woman knows first hand what this cult can do to people and yet she's willing to go back knowing it's not the truth just for the sake of being loved.
She said she would take a look at all your replys. This is a first since I've tried to get her on here for quite awhile. I'll do whatever it takes for her to see the light. What else can I do?????Hopefully she will read more than just this story and be moved to not going back. Talk to her would you, please?

About four years ago at a dc the DO went on and on about not looking at apostate sites so acouple of years ago when we didn't see the love that society preaches, our first stop was this place and we haven't stopped since. JWN gave us a place to go for answers on anything from publications to empty reasonings on the society's doctrines.
Also, there was some ex-jw's who found something that was closer to the bible that really made sense so it was easier to leave the false teachings and false friendships.

Regrets for knowing the TATT? Strange feeling overcoming...
by BluePill2 intoday is a strange day.. i have been out of the borg for a while now.
some years have passed and i thoroughly enjoy the freedom, not having to bend my mind and rape my soul to force myself to do and say things that i don't feel or believe.
i started my own business, got a wonderful girlfriend and made some friends (that are not monsters like the wt$ likes to portray others).. my parents, siblings, brothers-in-law, cousins, aunts, uncles, ex-wife, "friends" and my daughter, have cut their contact to me.

Bluepill2, my husband and I have no children between the two of us but he has three from his previous marriage gone bad. They listened to their mother who got paid off well. He lost a pile of money trying to fight to seeing them. All three got a good education, house paid for, food on the table and good clothes to wear thanks to dads monthly child support cheques which kept the mother from getting off her lazy butt to finding work. In the end what he thought was a lost battle has come to its end. The oldest who is in his mid thirties recently came over and said hi to him. When I met him, hubby asked if I knew this man and I said no. I hadn't seen him since his teens. We met his wife and three adopted children. He had a falling out with his mother so now he's wanting to meet his dad last year. They are not close and may never be close but from time to time they keep in contact since he lives in Europe and us in Ontario.
He tried to talk to his daughter who happens to live fifteen minutes away but wants nothing to do with him. And the other son is still on a journey who hates the world and carries a chip onn his shoulders. He has nothing to do with anyone on this side of the family. It's really sad when they were younger if dad didn't give them money then he was a jerk so hubby stopped giving them money and they stopped coming around. The mother had filled their heads with garbage. But like I said these kids who are now in their thirties have their own lives and are busy. They were never jws but I'm sure the religion makes dam sure your kids are kept super busy. Don't give up. You never know what will happen to them when they are older. Their mother is the one who will have to live with the consequences of her horrible actions like keeping them away from you. Religion or no religion this happens alot. There are organisations that will support you and other fathers that are in the same shoes as you. Give them a try or just wait it out. One day your daughter might find out TTATT and she will need you. Don't give up and don't let her down when that day arrives.

Bluepill2 please erase that thought out of your head. I've just lived through another funeral where someone took their life this past month. I also have to live each day for the last thirty years of another person, my mother who took her life, and have so many unanswered questions. You don't want to do that to your loved ones and you certainly don't want the society to say satan got another one. Watchtower will never take the credit for anyones death, they are too self rightous and in the end it's a no win situation. Hang in there and if you need someone to talk to pm me. We also have guns but have put them to good use such as skeet shooting or hunting.
What is starting to work for us if we can do good for others we start to feel better. Plus, there's others around that are like minded that are doing the same. There's organinsations that are looking for volunteers to help the less fortunate. Try finding ones like that that will give you a boost. Keep busy, and keep in contact with the rest of us who are in different phases of our new lives. Proverbs 27:17
My friends death opened the door to more of her friends who are really nice people that were trying to help her. This has opened my mind up to the fact that there are some really decent people out there but I wouldn't have tried to look if I wouldn't have stuck my head out there. This is just the beginning to new friends. It's just sad that I had to meet these nice people through my friends death. But now this doesn't mean we can't look out and help others, right? Get rid of that gun if it's going to be a temptation to you. And try talking to your doctor. Please don't let society win over another loss loved one. They are not worth it. You belong on this earth like the rest of all of us as well as them.
